Update
I got the job at the temple and it will be a wonderful experience! Another awesome thing is that today was my last time to register for classes!! After Fall I will never have to sit in a classroom again! I still have my student teaching in the winter but I don't really count that as a class. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it is coming quickly! Yay!

Great day? You decide.
Today began at 6:45am when my phone alarm went off. Was it supposed to? No. Today was the day I was going to be able to sleep in till 8. Geoff made a decision to not wake up so I had to walk to class. I started a new sport today in one of my classes (badminton) and I was the best of the best! We had a ladder tournament and I was the one who ended up on the highest court. I felt pretty good about myself since 1/3 of my class are boys.
Has anyone ever had a class where you knew it was easy, but too easy to pay attention? Yeah that was the next class I had. The teacher makes us do busy work and MAKES us kill a whole rain forest for silly little (50 page) assignments. I don't even think she reads our homework.
After 5 hours at school I go straight to work. I work at Boys and Girls Club. If anybody doesn't know what that is, it's mainly for children who don't behave or parents who work a lot, and so we give them the opportunity to have fun instead of being out on the streets.
Today was cooking day. Who thought it would be a good idea to let fifty 3-5th graders bake something? I can understand when you have your children help you cook at home, but really? 50 kids all together? Guess what we made! Apple pie! Thankfully we had pre-made crust but the apples had to be peeled. We only had one vegetable peeler and it ended up being very dull. The teacher in charge made a quick decision. She taught them how to peel with a knife. Multiple kids were swinging knives around like it was a fake snake. I was seriously afraid we were going to take everyone to the emergency room from either another kid stabbing them or cutting off their fingers. Most of the children didn't cut themselves and others had minor cuts. I was actually impressed. although I don't think a single child finished peeling the apples. They ended up asking me to finish them.
After work I went straight to the church. Relief Society Activity tonight was our Birthday activity. It was super fun. It was a potluck dinner and games. I was in charge of a "Minute to win it" game. It turned out to be a good group game. We had one where you had to put a popsicle stick in your mouth and stack 6 dice on top.
I had to leave early from the activity to go to a temple interview. It's not the temple interview you might be thinking of...I applied to work at the temple as a laundry worker a month ago. Last night they called me to ask for an interview today. Yes it does feel weird to think that I might be getting paid to be in the temple but I think it will be okay. :-)
This past week I have been completely stressing out about life. My job at Boys and Girls requires that I work 30 hours a week (if I want a tuition refund). School has been picking up a lot more recently with projects and preparing and teaching middle school PE every week. I have had no free time. I love spending time with Geoff in the evenings, but all I have been doing is work, work and more work. I guess I shouldn't have been rubbing it in that I never had homework and Geoff always did. :-( I don't know how people do it... really. I get stressed, lose sleep and am totally cranky. I feel bad for Geoff at times but thankfully he loves me even when I am a bum. These past few days I was thinking about looking for another job for the summer that didn't require so much time because Geoff and I don't get a break. We are still going to school during spring and summer terms.
Tonight in the interview, Brother P. kept saying that my family will be blessed for me being able to work in the temple. He said that 5 times. Isn't it a wonderful feeling that Heavenly Father knows what you are going through and is always there to help you? I didn't expect this amazing opportunity to drop right in front of us. I thought that I needed to toughen up and deal with all the busyness because that is what everyone else does in this life. Whatever happens, if I get the job or not, I know that Heavenly Father is looking out for me and that He loves me. :-)
Even though today was crazy, it ended up being such a great day!

New addition
Geoff and I have a new addition to the family. Geoff is extremely excited, way more than I am but he insisted. I am not going to act like I hate the idea because I don't, just a little concerned with safety. Our hands were full with this...
and then ended up with our new happy addition.
It needs a wash. It's a '78 Yamaha 250.
Geoffrey has been researching different dirt bikes for a few weeks now and found one on KSL for a decent amount. I asked him what the purpose of us getting one was. Was it the idea of having a motorcycle? Or was it more to save money on gas? He tried to convince me that it was for us to save money so that we wouldn't have to put gas in the truck all summer. For some reason I wasn't sure that was the catch. I asked again a couple days later and he said he wanted it for both reasons. Geoff did smile more when I emphasized JUST WANT A MOTORCYCLE, so I knew. Haha it doesn't bother me, it actually made me happy to see how excited he was. On the way home from picking the bike up he kept saying, "I can't believe we have a motorcycle!"
Unfortunately since he has never driven one before he won't be able to drive me around for two months after he gets his motorcycle license. I guess it is a blessing. Having experience will keep both of us safe.

Let us all press on
Just finished watching a CES fireside with Elder L. Tom Perry as the speaker and at the end he talked about acts of kindness. He said that there are three ways to share acts of kindness/lead His children back to Him.
1) Daily Prayer
We need to make sure that we pray daily in order to be a good example to others and help them pray as well.
2) Daily Scripture Study
We again need to have daily scripture study to help others understand and realize how important it is to have that spiritual experience each day with our Heavenly Father. Then we need to help others experience the same joy.
3)Temple worthy
It is our duty to help others be their best and let them know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ loves them.
Date day
was yesterday and I loved it! Lately Geoff and I have been busy and it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon so we had a whole day to go on a date! It was very nice. I don't know about anybody else but sometimes it gets boring when all you do it watch movies while doing homework. Those types of dates aren't too fun. The only reason we got to do so much stuff yesterday was because of Geoff's sisters. They gave us awesome Christmas presents and we finally got to enjoy them.
Jenny was so nice to get us tickets to a Vocal Point concert and I forgot how much I enjoyed that type of stuff. I love Music, plays and musicals! It was definitely needed, thank you Jenny! :-) Music always puts me in my "feel good mood."

We had dinner at Macaroni Grill, compliments of Emily. We went all out. Usually we just get the main course of a meal but since we also had a coupon we got an appetizer and dessert. It was delicious! Geoff had a Lemon Passion cake that was seriously so creamy I wanted to die. I got a ricotta cheesecake drizzled with honey.
After a long long long wait of 5 months, we went and watched Tangled. I begged Geoff to take me when it first came out but he said that we needed to wait for it to go to the dollar theater. Boo! I was bummed. I also hoped that while we were home for Christmas break that someone would want to go see it with me but everyone had already seen it. It finally came to the dollar theater this weekend and of course it was a MUST! Tangled is such a cute movie. It is on my list of movies to buy.
Our date wasn't over after that. (Geoff probably doesn't count this as a continuum of our date) We went Grocery shopping for the first time in 3 weeks.
