Mel got Married!!

The festivities began Wednesday. Sarah and I were able to make it to the temple with Melissa when she received her endowment. What a special moment, I love that girl!! The Draper Temple is very stunning.

I'm so happy Mel found Kevin. They compliment each other very well.

Melissa is marrying into a wonderful family, they are the nicest people.

Dun Dun Duuuuuuuuunn!!!! The girls from Apt. 9
Our Roommate Reunion was to take place this year and when I started asking everyone when would be best, Melissa was hinting that it should be in May. So that is how I found out how serious this Kevin guy was. I was super excited she found someone to love her and actually made her happy.
There were 4 out of 6 roommates that made it, a pretty good turn out. Kayle is pregnant and due any day now and Liz... that little sneaky girl!! She told us she had to work, but apparently she has a special someone as well and went to meet his parents! Yay!
I love these girls! Oh how I miss them.

Melissa, Sarah and I grew up together in Oklahoma. We were always friends but something about Girls Camp... solidified our friendship. :-) What happens at Girls Camp stays at Girls Camp. We had many fun years together from staying up late talking about boys and swimming in the lake, to stuffing our face with junk food.

They did it!! I love Mel's face here! haha

The ceremony was beautiful. Kevin's Uncle who is in the Presidency of the Seventy was able to perform the sealing. There were many things said about how family is the most important and that we need to remember it. And that to love someone is a commandment from God. It isn't something you can "fall into or out of," you choose to love. Another thing to remember is to CTR. We should always have a Current Temple Recommend and all of these will fall into place.

Cindy and her precious Grandchildren.

The two lovebirds.

Apartment 9 girls. Whoot Whoot!!

The three amigos.

The reception was gorgeous. I should have taken more pictures but I didn't.

I had a great time! My sister-in-law Jenny is the BEST! She watched Adelaide pretty much the entire trip. With the temple on Wednesday, Tea at The Grand America Hotel, Bachelorette Party/Roommate Reunion/Sleepover in SLC on Thursday and then the wedding and reception on Friday, Adelaide had the best of time without mommy. She loves hanging out with her cousins.

The Birds

I must have a fear of huge flocks of birds. We went to go feed ducks and it was kinda scary. Adelaide just stood in the middle of them eating the bread.

They were all flying and swooping in to get some yummy bread and I couldn't handle it!! haha She was fearless!

And then when my family got to our place from driving all night to AZ, Adelaide snuggled in the middle while they all took a nap. :-)

Staycation

I have lots of mini vacations here in Arizona and I love it! We are either watching my Aunt and Uncle's dog or watching my cousins while their parents are out of town. It lets me escape my little world, but yet still very close if I need to drive home and do something I forgot.

This time around we got to watch the Molens and it was Kennedy's Birthday! She finally got to the double digits! The big 10!! I wanted to make sure that she had a fun time. So we started off with a balloon avalanche.

Birthday Pancakes for the special birthday girl.

We played lots of games but only have evidence of who killed who...CLUE!

Adelaide kept herself entertained with the balloons.
